High Threat Security Alert (A25-01-08): Multiple Vulnerabilities in Fortinet Products

Description:

Fortinet released security advisories to address multiple vulnerabilities in Fortinet systems. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted requests to an affected system.

Reports indicated that the elevation of privilege vulnerability (CVE-2024-55591) in FortiOS and FortiProxy is being exploited in the wild. System administrators and users are advised to take immediate actions to patch your affected systems to mitigate the elevated risk of cyber attacks.

Impact:

Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities could lead to remote code execution, denial of service, elevation of privilege, information disclosure, security restriction bypass, spoofing or tampering of affected system.

Patches for affected systems are now available. Administrators of affected systems should follow the recommendations provided by the vendor and take immediate actions to mitigate the risk.
